Since 2010, Sunsuper has been the major sponsor of Riverfire – the spectacular finale of the city’s month-long Brisbane Festival. Each year, almost half a million people flock to the city for a day of relaxation and celebration, which culminates in the mother of all firework displays. In 2016, Sunsuper wanted to strengthen their sponsorship presence even more by giving people even more reasons to get excited about the big event.
So we gave partygoers something no other festival has done before – the chance to launch the fireworks. And thus, the search for the next Sunsuper Riverfire Launchmaster began. The integrated campaign launched with an online content video, social media, print, radio, a training game and of course, a giant button installation for the successful Launchmaster’s big moment.
