$2 Summer Dips
Brisbane City Council
As part of the ongoing Brisbetter campaign, Brisbane City Council was looking to highlight programs and initiatives that eased cost-of-living pressures for residents. One such initiative reduced pool entry fees from $6.40 to $2 over the summer months.
To raise awareness of this price drop and cement its connection with Brisbane City Council, we created a “Dip Dip Hooray” campaign that did the job swimmingly. More than 740,000 patrons saved approximately $2.4 million on entry fees during the 3-month campaign period, with up to a 103% year-on-year increase in pool visits.
The program returned the following year, with Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner calling out its success: “Last summer we had record attendance and record savings at our pools, and we’re excited to be able to bring back this cost-saving initiative for everyone to enjoy.”
